Farm Photo for July 10, 2003

The summer items are growing quickly now. This is a shot down the walkway in between two rows of "Kentucky Wonder" pole beans. I've got deer netting stretched down the rows to give them a trellis to grow on. Very cheap and easier to put up than other types of trellising. To the left is the various squashes and to the right is a row of "San Marzano" Roma tomatoes and a bed of "Genovese Sweet" basil. Two volunteer "Russian Mammoth" sunflowers stand just right of center. The empty bed will be planted with more bush beans shortly.
